According to the decree of the President of December 2 "About measures for guaranteeing the accelerated development of a tourist industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan" since April 1, 2017 Uzbekistan completely cancels a visa regime for tourists from 15 states, including Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Canada, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Finland, Switzerland and Japan, and also for tourists over 55 years of age from 12 states including Belgium, Indonesia, the People's Republic of China (as a part of tourist groups), Malaysia, the USA, France, Vietnam, Israel, Poland, Hungary, Portugal and the Czech Republic. The visa-free regime will be applied to the foreign citizens entering the republic with the tourist purposes for the term of no more than 30 days.
Citizens of said countries in case will pay the entrance fee in the amount of US$ 50.00, with its entering into the government budget. The document confirming the payment of entrance fee will be the ground for entry into the country.
Besides, by April of the next year it is planned to implement at the international airports of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Urgench systems of customs control "green corridor" for foreign tourists with the simplified procedure of passing of passport and customs control, receipt of baggage and transport servicing. And also it is planned to organize at the airports and at railway stations separate passing of passport control by residents and nonresidents for the purpose of creation of additional conveniences to foreign citizens and accelerations of process of passing of this procedure
