City tour in Khiva

khiva

This page of our website is devoted to one-day walking tour through the ancient city-Museum under the open sky - Khiva

According to legend, the town grew up around the well Kheyvak, which was dug by order of Sim, the son of the biblical Noah. Water from this well had a wonderful taste. Today all guests of Khiva can see this well in Ichan-Kala. The historic inner city Ichan Kala, surrounded by strong walls, was announced by UNESCO a world heritage monument. According to archaeological data Khiva was founded more than 2,500 years ago.
