One-day tour in Samarkand

One-day tour of Samarkand includes the following program:
Meeting with the guide and driver at any comfortable for you place (hotel, monument, railway station, airport).
At 9:00 the beginning of the tour. First you’ll go to the famous Registan square with three majestic madrasahs: Madrasah of Ulugbek (1417-1420), Sher-Dor Madrasah (1619-1635/36), Tillya-Kori Madrasah (1647-1659/60). There are no more such unique complexes in the world. Just here you can take unique photos, touch the history of the East and the culture of the studies and purchase the oriental souvenirs for your friends and relatives.
The logical continuation of the tour will be the visit to the oriental market “Siab” in old part of the town and the Mosque Bibi-Khanum, which merged with the Jewish, Tajik and Uzbek quarter by the amazing way. You can truck through the old and narrow side streets of this mahallya, visit the bakery of the local flat cake cooker and see the old mosque which was built just 150 meters from the old synagogue.
12:00-13:00 Lunch. The guide will advise you the restaurant or bijou of a bistro.
13:00 the continuation of the city tour. Visit to the mausoleum Gur-Emir, the last refuge of the great conqueror and ruler Amir Temur and his dynasty. Then you can see the architectural complex Shahi-Zinda – the town do dead (necropolis) on the slope of ancient settlement Afrosiab. At the end you will visit the observatory of Ulugbek – the grandson of Amir Temur – and will learn the sad story about “the scientist in the throne”.
